We work with a significant number of families with children. The following two programs are dedicated to making a difference to children and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Statewide children's resource program

The Statewide Children’s Resource Program advocates for and assists homelessness support and other non-government services to respond more effectively to the needs of children who have experienced homelessness and/or family violence.

Program coordinators offer flexible and tailored support to agencies across their areas within the state of Victoria including regional information, training, support and resources , promoting best practice to workers in homelessness support services agencies in their work with children.

Wesley’s program operates in the eastern region of Melbourne and incorporates a group program that delivers therapeutic work to children, aged 0 to 18 years, in families who have experienced homelessness and violence.

Accommodation options for families

This program provides holistic case management for families experiencing homelessness or living in, or at risk of living in, rooming house accommodation.  We focus on addressing the barriers to stable housing for our clients, while developing appropriate, affordable, safe and sustainable housing pathways.

This service is available to families who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, or living in rooming house accommodation.
